Darwina is a AI-based imaging start-up company incorporated in the State of Delaware and founded by Drs. Daniel Pelletier (MD), Assad Oberai (PhD), and Amir Jaberzadeh (PhD). All founding members are dedicated to academic and commercial endeavors to provide advanced technology for medical imaging discoveries.

Daniel Pelletier, M.D.
CEO - Founding Member
With his unique background in computer science, neurology, and quantitative imaging, Dr. Pelletier has the knowledge needed to lead Darwina to accomplish its mission. Daniel was a Professor of Neurology at UCSF, Yale, and USC for over 20 years directing multiple sclerosis patient care, imaging research laboratories, and holding Distinguished Professorship and Endowed Chairs.
Assad Oberai, PhD
Founding Member
Assad Oberai is Professor of Mechanical Engineering at the Viterbi School of Engineering at the University of Southern California and former Vice-Dean of Research.
Amir Jaberzadeh, PhD
Founding Member
Amir Jaberzadeh is trained in engineering, mathematics, and computer science. After several years working in academic research laboratories, he launched several start-up companies focused on image processing, data quantification and analysis. Amir has tremendous expertise in deep learning algorithms, intellectual property development, and FDA-approvals for AI medical devices.
Nicolas Pelletier, AA
Project Management
Nicolas is a versatile software developer with an unconventional background in classical ballet, blending creativity and adaptability. He is proficient in a wide range of technologies and programming languages, particularly in AI development. Nicolas has experience in project collaboration and problem-solving and is committed to dynamic and innovative contributions, leveraging diverse skill sets for impactful projects.
